My Mom turns 50!

This month my Mom turned 50 years old! I wanted to really celebrate with her so we planned a big surprise party for her. We had to be pretty tricky because some family members had slipped and she knew something was up. So we planned it the Friday before her birthday since her birthday was on a Tuesday. We invited lots of family and friends. My sister Mendy even came from Colorado which my mom thought she was coming to surprise my sister Kalie because she had a baby shower the next day. So Friday came and we all gathered in my Aunt Laura's back yard. My Aunt asked her to come see something in the back yard and when my mom walked back there she was shocked. It was great! We had a great time and I was happy to see who all showed up to wish her well! She is a very amazing person and has helped and blessed so many lives, her five children especially. We were all excited to be able to honor her with this!

This was her birthday cake that I made for her. She has always wanted me to try stenciling so I thought this would be a fun time to try it. She loved her cake and I was happy how it turned out!
