Thanksgiving Fun!

We had a great Thanksgiving! The fun started the Monday before when my sister Mendy and her four children came from Colorado for the Holiday. They stayed at our house for a few nights and then headed to my parents in Syracuse for a few nights. The kids had tons of fun having their cousins stay over and they all played pretty good. On Thanksgiving morning we had our annual Bird vs. Burgoyne flag football game. We are part of the Bird family(my maiden name) and we play against the Burgoyne's who is my brother-in-law. This year we played at the park across the street from us. Lots of family showed up, cousins, aunts, uncles, and some friends. It was a lot of fun. Although I can't give a lot of credit to the girls of the family. I was the only girl on our side that played. But the others did have good excuses(just had a baby, etc.) It was the first time I ran since my foot surgery, but I felt really good and my foot did great. Jacob also played with us and liked being on Doug and my team at first, but eventually wanted to switch teams. He did a good job sneaking up and pulling flags off people. Brynlee was too busy playing with her cousins on the playground to play football.

After the game I finished up my rolls and we loaded up and headed to Syracuse for our huge Thanksgiving feast. It was at my parents house and my Uncle Tom and Aunt Pam came from Washington along with some of their children that are attending BYU-Idaho and live in Salt Lake, my Aunt Laura and Uncle Vic from Layton and their two sons, my Uncle Jim from Pocatello, and then all of my sisters Mendy and Camillia and their families, my sister Kalie, and then us. It was a pretty full house. But we had lots of fun and great food! I need to work on taking more pictures but I did get a couple.
This is my cute nephew Michael just as he was about to dig into the pies!
Here is our typical Thanksgiving dinner entertainment. Football.
The next day Mendy and I thought we would be brave and hit some Black Friday sales. We went to Wal-Mart and it was insane. We both vowed we would never go there at 4:30am again. People were nuts. We went to another Wal-Mart around 6:30 and were able to get lots more stuff then we did at 5:00 because they replenished everything after it runs out. But we both got most of our shopping done and we had fun being together!

To finish off the Holiday, we were able to be their for Camillia's baby Tay's blessing, which was fun to be at. We had to hurry home though because I was being sustained as the Young Women's president(AHH!!) and I had to teach. Doug and the kids went straight home as they are all sick. Now we are looking forward to Christmas!
