Well my parents are officially empty nesters as the last of their children were married. My brother Jeremy returned off of his mission 7 months ago and started dating a great girl named Ashley. She actually served in the same mission as he did and he was her zone leader. They did not write or communicate at all until she came home from her mission a couple months after he was home. They hit it off and were soon inseparable. I could not have asked for a better sister in law! She is wonderful! They were married on July 9th at the Bountiful temple. After the ceremony we all came over to our church and had a great lunch. They served in the Little Rock Arkansas mission and both served in the same area where they met a wonderful women named Ann. Her husband is not a member but Jeremy became really good friends with him as well. Ann came to the wedding but her husband did not. But for their wedding gift he barbecued 60 lbs of shredded pork and some brisket and Fed Exed it all here in time for the luncheon. It was awesome. Jeremy thinks we don't know what real barbecue is over here so it was fun to taste what the South is famous for. Later that night the reception was held at Chantele Mansion in Layton. It was so nice. We all had a great day and are so excited for them. I was excited to make their wedding cake with a bird's nest on top that Ashley requested. For more pictures of this cake and another that I made for my cousins Charlie's wedding just a few days later check out my blog at http://shannonirelandcakes.blogspot.com/ .
