Ta Da! I finally finished setting up our blog! It took a while for me to sit down and actually do it. I am sure I will mess with it and continue to change things, but for now, Here it is! I have been wanting to do one for a while and I think it is a great way to keep a family journal, which I am not very good at. So we will see how it goes.
This summer has flown by for us! It is almost the middle of August! I am excited for fall as it is one of my favorite seasons! Although one thing I must prepare myself for, as I do every year, is..........College Football! I am sure many can relate with me. Doug is a big college football fan! (One may say close to obsessed or is it passion?!) His two big teams our BYU and Michigan. But he just loves it in general. I do enjoy a good football game, but watching football all day every Saturday doesn't thrill me. But Doug does get a lot done around the house while he is watching it, so that works out great! I am looking forward to having our cable upgraded as we do every year to make sure we get all of the games. (Hmm, passion or obsessed?!) But I am excited about being able to watch the Olympics! Go USA!
We started out our summer with a trip to Russia! Doug's parents our serving a mission in Moscow so for our Christmas present they flew us over there. We went the same time as Doug's brother Jeff and his wife Rochelle. We really had a great time. We spent a few days in Moscow and then took an over night train ride to St. Petersburg. Russia really is an impressive plays with tons of history and a great sense of pride. I was glad to return home and be able to understand people around me. I am impressed with people that have learned Russian! Jacob and Brynlee stayed with my parents who have just moved to Syracuse, Utah. It worked out great for us, although it was a little crazy for them as my older sister Mendy had her baby boy Nathan while we were gone. So my parents ended up with 5 of their 6 grandchildren.
We really have had a great summer! We have gone camping a couple of times and also purchased some bikes to do some mountain biking. That has been lots of fun, although Doug's definition of a mountain biking thrill and my definition is a little different ( I like to come off the mountain with no blood and in one piece.) But we still have fun! In June we went to Manti and enjoyed the Manti pageant. We camped right by the temple, which was pretty crowded, but we survived the night. For July 24th weekend we went to Rockport Lake, by Kamas for a campout with some neighbors. We had lots of fun!

Ok Shannon, Since we both have the same problem during College Football season and our men like the same teams sounds like we need to have girls day out on saturday!!!
So glad you got your blog up and running! Sorry it took me so long to notice!
Count me in for the girls' day! Enos doesn't get as into sports as your husbands, but who cares? A girls' day is fun no matter what the reason, right?
